OUR START
Black Horse Masonry is a family-owned masonry company that is based out of Tacoma, WA. Our projects take us all around the Puget Sound, from the Peninsula to over the mountains in Cle Elum. We take great pride in completing quality projects. We have been in business for over a decade in the Puget Sound area and thanks to our loyal customers, we are constantly expanding our clientele.
Our crew is a combination of full-fledged masons to new apprentices. We have over 50 years of combined experience. Every person in our company plays a large role in our production and every one of them is like family to us.

Isaac
General Manager
Isaac is our General Manager here at Black Horse Masonry and has been with us since we opened. He has been doing masonry for 35+ years and over 16 of those years have been with Black Horse. In his free time Isaac enjoys playing guitar. A fun fact about Isaac is that he was born in Minnesota.
Tara
Project Manager
Tara is our Project Manager and has been working for Black Horse since we opened. She grew up in the Puget Sound area and loves to travel all around Washington State. When she isn't scheduling and planning jobs for us, she enjoys hiking, biking, and kayaking. Tara's favorite thing is to spend time outdoors.
Mikayla
Office Manager
Mikayla is our Office Manager and has been working with Black Horse for 2 years. Her favorite part of working for our company is how everyone supports each other and the connection we make with our customers. Before working in the office Mikayla worked out in the field on our crews. Her favorite job she was ever on was a multi-home project where we laid stone on new homes in Cle Elum. Outside of the office she does photography and also loves spending time with her husband and child. A fun fact about Mikayla is that she has traveled to over half of the states in the US.
Jaime
Office Manager
Jaime is our Office Manager and has been working with Black Horse since we first opened. She grew up in the Puget Sound Area as well as in Spokane, where she met her husband. They moved to Tacoma to raise their son and have traveled all over Washington State. Jamie loves horseback riding and also breeds miniature schnauzers.
Bob
Resource Manager
Bob is our Resource Manager and has been with Black Horse Masonry since we first opened. He grew up in Arizona and moved to Washington when he was younger. He came to love the area, met his wife in Puyallup and planted his roots. When he relaxes, he finds himself playing his guitar. He also loves to do woodworking projects in his garage when he gets the chance.
Riley
Crew Lead
Riley is one of our crew leads and has been with our company for 5+ years. He first started doing masonry as a summer job. He fell in love with the work and has continued working with us since. Riley's favorite part of working for Black Horse is that he absolutely loves being able to be creative with the projects he gets assigned, as well as making beautiful centerpieces for peoples homes and seeing their reactions. The coolest job he has been on was when we built an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, waterfall and outdoor fireplace. When Riley isn't leading projects, he drums and enjoys spending time with his wife and child. Fun fact about Riley is that he is a bit of a movie buff.
Malaki
Crew Lead
Malaki is one of our crew leads that has been working for us for five years. He started working at Black Horse right after graduating from high school and has worked his way up from laborer to lead. He says his favorite part of working for us is seeing the final look of our projects. From Malaki's experience the coolest job he has been on was just a simple chimney job but it overlooked Bellevue and Seattle and he loved the view. Outside of being a lead he likes to watch sports and spend time with his friends and family. A fun fact about Malaki is that he can draw really well!
Dustin
Laborer
Dustin says his favorite part of working for Black Horse is the family like environment and the finish work, as well as the satisfaction after completing a job. From his experience, the coolest jobs he has been on were, the jobs out in Cle Elum where we laid stone on new construction homes, and also a job where we added an extension to a customers home. Outside of working Dustin enjoys fishing and hanging out with his friends and family. A fun fact about him is that he plays guitar.
