Another major fire hazard is a chimney leaning away from your home, a rebuild would be necessary in this case. Restoring your chimney can be the easy fixes similar to getting a grind and tuck point on cracks and voids in joints, relaying brick that are spalling or loose, getting crown work done and/or new counter flashing installed.
